Silhouettes

The beauty of the absence of light
Let me confess, I started photographing silhouettes unintentionally. I intended to shoot some beautiful trees and got a wonderful surprise. The trees were black, but the photo of the whole scene was gorgeous. Expose intentionally for the light behind your subject, instead of the subject itself. Put your fingertip on the lightest part of the screen. A small icon will appear. On my phone, it’s a sun. Your camera will calculate its exposure for the light background, rather than the subject. You need to experiment, but you’ll be able to do it. Have fun with it. Don’t let other thoughts creep into your mind, just focus on the challenge. Breathe deeply and don’t get frustrated. You will get it. Enjoy the focused time you are taking out just for yourself.
